Dr Achieng Ojwang is the Executive Director of Global  Compact network South Africa, a position she has held since  April 2018. During this time, Dr Ojwang has re-established the  Network as a formidable independent organisation and  continues to raise the visibility of the UN Global Compact brand in South Africa. 

A Sustainability Professional, she has over 20 years of  experience both in academic research and actual support to companies on corporate sustainability. Dr Ojwang is passionate about gender equality, human rights and social justice and most importantly,  working with young people to engage both in the business space and in the public discourse, on  matters sustainability. 

In 2020, Dr Ojwang has been recognised for her work over the years on human rights and sustainability  in Assent Compliance Top 100 Corporate Social Responsibility Leaders List.
