He teaches at the University of Johannesburg’s College of Business and Economics.
After about 20 years in various roles outside of academia, one of them as Research Director at a not for profit, he completed a PhD in Business Administration at the University of Cape Town in 2012.
His research interest is at the intersection of business and society. He serves as a reviewer at Journal of Business Ethics, Business & Society, Journal of Business Venturing, Electronic Journal of Business Research Methods, and Academy of Management conferences, among others. He also serves on a panel at the South African National Research Foundation.
At UJ, apart from supervising many masters and doctoral students on issues related to sustainable development in organizations, He teaches modules in Management Practice and Sustainability Management. He has also been teaching Research Methodology for a number of years.
