Founder and CEO of Ardea International. The Legal 500 and Chambers recognised Colleen as a leading environmental law practitioner. She holds a LLB and LLM (with distinction) from Aberdeen University. She lectures at Birkbeck University and is a research fellow of the Centre for the Study of Modern Slavery, St Mary’s, Twickenham. She sits on the advisory board for LexisPSL Environment and Positive Luxury. She was a founding member of the steering group of British Association for Sustainable Sport (BASIS) and previously an executive member and trustee of the UK Environmental Law Association. Colleen’s indefatigable passion for combating human trafficking, particularly in business supply chains led her to found the not-for-profit organisation Finance Against Trafficking. She has spoken widely on the UNGPs on Business and Human Rights, modern slavery and sustainable business. Dedicated to raising awareness of modern slavery, Colleen contributed to Modern Slavery Garden team which won Gold at the Chelsea Flower Show 2016. She was a nominated for an award by the Anti Slavery Awards group and created an anti trafficking hub at the Towers Convent school in West Sussex.
