Igazeuma Okoroba is a sustainability leader and social development expert with over 20 years of experience in the public sector, civil society, media, oil & gas and telecommunications.
As Head of Sustainability in one of Africa’s largest manufacturing industries, her contribution to the private sector transcends CSR, sustainability reporting using diverse frameworks and circular economy, to integrate ESG in operations.
As a social change advocate, her work promotes indigenous knowledge systems, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for building climate resilience and adaptation in African societies. She is an academic researcher, trainer and speaker who has delivered DEI messages on various platforms including TedExApapa, Lagos; US Consulate General and Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, Nollywood Academy and the Niger Delta Social Accountability (NDSA) Project in Nigeria.
Dr Okoroba holds an M.Sc in Sustainable Development from the University of Exeter, UK and a PhD in Development Sociology, from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She is a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Governance of Nigeria (ICGN) and the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). She also serves on the board of several non-governmental organisations.
