Lauren is the newly appointed VP: ESG at Imperial logistics. She is responsible for managing and driving environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives across the group, and is part of Imperial’s Corporate Affairs function. With ESG a pillar of their strategy and top-of-mind for many of our key stakeholders, this role is pivotal to the delivery of Imperial’s ESG strategy and positioning Imperial as a responsible corporate citizen.

Lauren holds a BSc (Honours) degree in Chemistry from the University of the Witwatersrand and a MBA from the Gordon Institute of Business Science. Working for Sasol for over 13 years, she held a number of positions in operations, group strategy and risk, SHE and sustainability. In these roles, 

Lauren guided Sasol in developing strategic responses to key sustainability risks along the company’s value chain – including air quality, waste, climate change and product stewardship.

 This included the scoping of capital investment projects, government engagement for law reform and promoting regulatory recognition for innovative alternative environmental solutions.
