Nomsa advises on a wide range of corporate and M&A transactions. She has experience in issues relating to ESG in the mining industry and has advised on a number of ESG related transactions in the industry. Nomsa also has general governance expertise on issues such as shareholder activism as well as extensive and in-depth expertise in mining-related commercial matters including offtake agreements, marketing and logistic arrangements from mine to market, incorporating ESG related clauses in such agreements and other supply chain agreements. She has advised clients in the integration of socio-economic development initiatives into strategies of mining companies for economic succession planning post mine closure, structuring of transactions to include mining host communities and renewable energy projects (particularly in relation to captive power projects), as well as advising client of their journeys to carbon neutrality. She also advises clients in the integration of junior miners in their mine development strategies. She has published various articles on the “S” and the “G” of ESG and presented a conference on the innovative approach to implementing ESG principles. She has an LLB from the University of South Africa and is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
