Tariro Mutizwa is Regional Vice President for Africa, at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, representing the American Institute of CPAs and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (AICPA & CIMA), which is dedicated to advancing the global accounting and finance profession through our work on behalf of 689,000 AICPA and CIMA members, students and engaged professionals in 196 countries and territories. Her career spans over 18 years, with a track record of successful leadership and management roles.
The greater part of her career was within consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was responsible for business development, client relationship management and overseeing the delivery of contracted work. She also worked for Anglo American and Hudaco Industries in audit and risk management roles. At Hudaco Industries she was leading the risk management and audit function and made significant contributions to strategic risk management and corporate governance.
Tariro’s experience has made her a seasoned strategic and innovative thinker and leader who thrives finding economical, efficient, and effective ways to doing business whilst contributing to long term sustainability and profitability of the greater environment.
Tariro is a ACMA, CGMA, Chartered Accountant (SA) (Z) and is an MBA graduate from Oxford Brookes University. She believes in the future of the accounting profession as a driver of business growth and economic development. She is passionate in the continuous relevance of the profession for members, students and all the relevant stakeholders for continuous learning and success.
