Lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, strategic communication and sustainability specialist - UJ
I am a lecturer within the Department of Strategic Communication in the School of Communication at the University of Johannesburg. I lecture both on undergraduate and postgraduate level in Strategic Communication and my research primarily focuses on the purpose of brands and how this is communicated by organisations in the current business context. I have also been extensively involved in corporate training and workshop facilitation for brands. Many of these them entailed programme development and also accreditation of these programmes by the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA), which resulted in a number of individuals, from these brands, acquiring the status of chartered marketer or marketing practitioner.
