Executive Director - Africa Climate Foundation
The African Climate Foundation is a strategic grant-making foundation focused on climate and development issues on the African continent. Presently, the ACF is new venture and busy building its back-office systems, recruiting new staff and focusing on developing a pan-African strategy. Currently, the core focus for grant interventions are in South Africa. Core activities are to deliver on the Just Transition Transaction, enabling power sector reforms for distributed energy and building resilient safety nets and new jobs opportunities as South Africa's energy transition begins to unfold. The ACF's grant making is guided by strategic imperatives. It will build a network of collaborators and actors in the climate space, facilitate thought leadership and policy dialogue between climate specialists, economists and development practitioners, build a network of scientists and experts to think and ponder about innovative solutions for the sector, climate futures and ways to support political mobilization and activism at different levels of decision-making and action.
